Campbell McLaurin Named Deputy Commissioner of Arkansas Securities Department

Little Rock, Ark (August 20, 2021) - The Arkansas Securities Department (ASD) today announced that Campbell McLaurin has been named the new Deputy Commissioner of the agency, where he has worked since 2011.  During his time at ASD, McLaurin has brought or supervised dozens of enforcement matters involving a variety of securities law violations.

“Campbell is a proven leader and talented lawyer,” said Commissioner Eric Munson.  “As Associate General Counsel and a supervisor in the Enforcement Division, he developed an impressive record of success on behalf of Arkansas victims and the State of Arkansas.  I am so pleased that Campbell has agreed to take on this role working with all our talented staff at ASD, as we build on our achievements in the critical work of protecting investors, enhancing market integrity, and expanding our investor education efforts.”

McLaurin is an active member of the North American Securities Administrators Association, serving on the Enforcement Publications and Manuals Project Group.  He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History and an honors college certificate.  He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he was an Associate Cases Editor for the Mississippi Law Journal.

McLaurin said, “It has been a true honor to serve the State of Arkansas and work with my colleagues at ASD for over 10 years.  I am thrilled to now have the opportunity to advance the ASD’s missions and support the daily work of our staff to protect Arkansas investors in new and different ways.”

McLaurin will officially start his new role at ASD on Monday, August 23, 2021.
