Arkansas Securities Commissioner A. Heath Abshure issues a press release regarding his approval of a consent order with the Arkansas-based broker-dealer firm of Crews & Associates, Inc., and the entry of a cease and desist order against Bamco Gas, LLC; Ernest Bartlett of Little Rock, Arkansas; and Howard Appel of Pennsylvania for violations of the Arkansas Securities Act and the Rules of the Arkansas Securities Commissioner in the sale of Bamco debentures in 2005 and 2008.  The cease and desist order directed Bamco, Bartlett, and Appel to cease and desist from further acts of securities fraud.
