Grant Application

Investor Education Grant Program

With the passage of Acts 39 and 948 of 2003, the Arkansas Legislature appropriated funds for a grant-award program administered by the Arkansas Securities Commissioner.  The grants are available to programs in Arkansas for the purpose of providing securities/investment education to teachers and students about the securities industry, the stock markets, and investment decision-making.  Grant proposals will be considered for only these areas.  New grants are to be awarded for the 2026-2027 school year. A final report of the project will be required.

Eligible applicants are public schools and non-profit groups (IRC § 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations) that provide investment education to students in grades 5 through 12.  Fifty-four schools and seven non-profit organizations received a total of nearly $250,000 for the 2025-2026 school year.  The Commissioner will determine the grant award based upon the merit of the program, other school resources and the number of students educated.  The proposal’s due date is September 30, 2026.  Projects must be completed by March 31, 2027.  The final report must be submitted to the Department no later than April 30, 2027.

Grant Submissions are open for 2026-2027.

Eligible applicants are public schools and non-profit groups that provide both financial literacy and investment education to Arkansas students in grades five through twelve.

The Grant Application Form and W-9 Form must be submitted through the online form below. If any of the above items are not submitted, the submission will be deemed incomplete and declined from consideration.

Grant funds may be used to purchase any appropriate educational resources, software materials, or equipment. In accordance with Arkansas law, all applicants certify that grant funds will not be used to teach, advocate, or promote a “divisive concept” as defined by Arkansas Code Ann. § 25-1-901.

All funds should be spent or returned to the Department. Unused funds of less than $100 may be used for classroom supplies in accordance with the Grant Rules. Unused funds that exceed over $100 will require the approval of the Arkansas Securities Department.

The final report must be submitted no later than April 30, 2027. The final report must include measurable project outcomes, a financial accounting of actual program expenditures, and receipts/invoices. Please upload files below.

Failure to submit the final report and receipts/invoices will forfeit future grant award consideration.
