Beware of Financial Fraud in the Wake of Natural Disaster
The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Foundation recently made a $5,000 disaster-response grant to the Cross County Library in Wynne to ensure that residents obtain the information they need when making critical money decisions following a FEMA disaster declaration in the county. This grant is part of the FINRA Foundation’s initiative to respond to and mitigate the personal finance impact of major natural disasters in the United States by partnering with local libraries.
As with the previous disaster-related grants to libraries in Arkansas, the Foundation is also providing the library system with resources that explain the red flags of financial fraud and what people can do to be vigilant.
